I started my journey on the internet superhighway whilst still in High School, back then it was just a buzz word with massive hype. After leaving school I landed a job in the Insurance Industry on Friday 13th, now known as my lucky day.

My working career led me through various roles in the industry until I ended up in the position of Business Systems Analyst, testing & coordinating computer system changes.  Over the years I have worked with many mainframe and front-end based systems and most recently I was exposed to web development using WYSIWYG programs like Dream Weaver and MS SharePoint.

This dip into the pool of web development sparked my interest to learn more and along with my life long dream to obtain a university degree I renewed my search for the best course for me.   One day while trawling the internet for a new career (as you do) I came across an ad for SEEK leaning and following the links found a course that I was interested in, I called the number and the rest is history.

I am now studying for a university degree through OUA to obtain a BA in Internet Communication with Curtin University. My degree is completely online which means I can study from anywhere. I have met some fantastic people since starting that will be life long friends. The tutors and unit coordinators are great, very helpful and understanding.  I look forward to the next few years of study, meeting more fellow students, unit coordinators and tutors.

So here I am and I can’t recommend following your dream enough.

In my spare time I like to read, garden, socialise and generally just potter around.

Enjoy :)
